I wanted to let you all know I am hustling on all this NAMM 2013 video footage for PedalsAndEffects. We’re going to show what we saw plus what we didn’t get to see but heard about from other musicians. There’s a lot of excitement about what’s in store for the pedal world. It seems that every year there are more boutique pedal designers at NAMM, and the bigger companies like Boss or Electro Harmonix are creating new pedals to keep up with this surge of innovation. I am happy and lucky to get a preview to what is happening and will share with you what lies ahead.
I performed at the Earthquaker Devices booth on the first day of NAMM and that was incredibly fun. Julie and Jamie, who head Earthquaker Devices, are very generous with their time and knowledge about their products. So many interested distributors and music stores were there to see what all the excitement is about and it was great to be a part of their momentum.
Friday, I did an autograph signing at Ampeg with Rex Brown of Pantera fame and Mike Inez from Alice In Chains. Those two made the hour fly by with their great stories and laid back attitudes. Before I knew it, we were done and I was back in the halls, checking out Ernie Ball, MonoCase, Dunlop, Dwarfcraft, WMD, Loud Button and more.
PedalsAndEffects is going to be super busy in 2013 with another installment of Fuzz Wars, a new Phaser Wars, plus Sub Wars…you name it, it’s on! We’re still organizing the guest appearances and pedal routing videos and we’re most excited about doing another giveaway to celebrate PedalsAndEffects’ 1 year anniversary. So stay tuned!
Last but not least, I want to once again thank you all for your continued support. Here’s to a better PedalsAndEffects for 2013!
