The submissions keep rolling in for 2015. This week’s Show Me Your Pedalboard comes from bass player Conor all the way from Melbourne, Australia! Conor’s board features a mix of bass and guitar centric pedals as well as a variety of the much underrated Digitech “Digi” pedals. The board features a variety of synth modelers, and other pedals to make his bass sound like anything but a bass when needed. Let’s take a look:
In rapid fire, here’s a look at Conor’s chain:
3. Line 6 FM4
4. Boss CS-3 Compressor Sustainer (Not where I would put it in the chain, I’d put it before the fuzz/distortion. Putting compression earlier on really gets the harmonics of your instrument to pop out. It also has more of an impact on how effects pedals process the signal as it goes down the line.)
6. Digitech Bass Synth Wah (Very versatile pedal, octave mode sounds great and you can get some radical sounds from it too!)
8. Earthquaker Devices Organizer (A great organ emulator, can get really lush and atmospheric)
11. Line 6 DL4 (Classic looper and delay modeler)
Pedalboards come in all shapes, sizes and colors. I always love seeing how innovative people can get with their setups, and how different people, find sometimes radically different uses for the same pedal.
Thanks for sharing with us, Conor! What did you think of Conor’s board? Let us know below in the comments.
