Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry comes from Luca all the way from a tiny district in the North of Italy. Luca is a bass player with a working man’s pedalboard, if he’s not juggling playing bass in five different bands he’s also giving guitar and bass lessons. Luca’s pedalboard is indicative of his working lifestyle, all of the necessities with some extra fun pedals without going too overboard (pun intended!). Let’s take a look at what Luca is rocking out with!

Working our way through the board, things start off into a Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah, with a TC Electronics Polytune tuner keeping Luca in tune. Things move onto an MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, huge fan of this pedal! You can check out our entry of sub wars where we dig into the pedal! A great contemporary of the BOSS OC-2 made by the wonderful guys at Dunlop! Things move onto an Ibanez Tonelok SB7 Synthesizer Bass pedal. These Ibanez tonelok pedals are incredibly underrated, they’re great sounding pedals and really inexpensive. They’re discontinued now, but more and more people are realizing their potential so get them while you can! Check eBay or Reverb or Craigslist, you’ll be sure to find them. The synth pedal is followed up by some additional weirdness with the MXR Bass Auto Q envelope filter. Things then move onto a boost double team of a MXR Micro amp and a Xotic Bass BB Preamp. If you have to keep both I’d move the preamp up earlier in the chain, otherwise you only really need one of these guys. Just my two cents.

Luca’s board finished up in a EBS Unichorus chorus pedal and a BOSS DD6 Digital delay. Honorable mentions go to a Sans-Amp Bass Driver DI and a BOSS RC-20.
Grazie, Luca! Thanks for sharing your board with PedalsAndEffects! If you haven’t sent a picture of your pedalboard to us yet, email us at juan@pedalsandeffects.com. Until next time!
