Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry comes from Matt from West Australia! Matt’s a bass player who’s got a modest, but unique board, filled with only the coolest boutique pedals! Let’s take a look at what Matt is working with:
Matt’s signal starts off into a TC Electronics Polytune tuner, immediately followed by an Earthquaker Devices The Warden Compression pedal. While I swear by my BOSS CS-2, the Earthquaker Devices Warden is a fantastic compression pedal. While compressors have caught on with bassists, guitarists should give them a shot too! They’ll level things out and really get your harmonics to pop. Great pick Matt! After the compressor is an Aguilar Tone Hammer preamp followed by an Aguilar Octamizer analog octave pedal. The Octamizer is great at sub octave, comparable to the classic BOSS OC-2. I gotta spend more time with it, but Aguilar has always made great stuff. Up next is an Earthquaker Devices Organizer polyphonic organ emulator. The Organizer is a great octave/synth pedal, and can easily go toe to toe with the POG series by Electro-Harmonix. After the Organizer is a Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder Fuzz. Dwarfcraft is an awesome company out of Wisconsin. The fuzzes they make are HEAVY. They feature regularly on Fuzz Wars, and the Eau Claire Thunder was featured on the inaugural episode. Love those guys. After the Dwarfcraft is a Midnight Amplification Devices Fuzz Age can’t say I have any experience with this guy. But Midnight Amplification is a small company out of Melbourne, Australia. I’ll have to check them out! Matt’s board ends in an Earthquaker Devices Afterneath. On the board is also a footswitch for an Aguilar AG500 head.
We’re all in this together, it’s great to see such wonderful support for smaller companies. You never know, the Earthquaker Devices of today can be the BOSS of tomorrow! Thanks, Matt, for sending in your board. Great pedal placement too. Send in your board to firstname.lastname@example.org and it could be featured right here on PedalsAndEffects!
