Today’s Show Me Your Pedalboard entry is a quickie that comes from bass player Mike! Let’s take a look at what Mike is rocking out with:
Here’s Mike’s chain in rapid fire:
Korg Blackout Tuner: Always a solid choice, comes in different colors too if you’re into that.
EHX Freeze: I think everyone knows I don’t really mess too much with the new EHX stuff. This is a little sampler pedal, but you can get a similar effect from any delay pedal by setting the feedback to really long and the delay time to something short. Something like that, play around with it. Most BOSS delays have a “hold” function. You can always “unlock” something from your tried and true delays, you’d be surprised.
Aphex Punch Factory Optical Compressor: Move it up in the chain, yo.
MXR Bass Octave Deluxe: Great pedal. I’ve always repped MXR since the early days of my career. The Bass Octave Deluxe is just as innovative as any MXR pedals because it is not only an octave pedal, it also pushes the sub octave via some sub harmonic component. You can check out the PedalsAndEffects review, here.

DOD FX25B Envelope Filter: Always love me some DOD.
MXR Micro Amp: I’d move this up in the chain too.
Mooer Lo-Fi Machine Bit Crusher: Dope! Really love seeing these type of lo-fi pedals making waves
