This week’s Show Me Your Pedalboard is brought to you by Steven. His selection is full of choices: multiple overdrives, chorus’ and flangers, and a handful of delays. It’s simple, but diverse: something we can all take a lesson in sometimes.
The chain starts with the ever-present Boss Chromatic Tuner, which appears to feed into a Diamond Compressor for some smooth compression and tone. Color is quickly added with a Solid Gold FX SuperDrive Synergy, along with the option of an Ibanez TS9. At this point, the modulations start with a long-discontinued Boss CE-2 Chorus, followed by an MXR Phase 90. After rounding out modulation options with an EVH117 Flanger, the signal appears to feed through two Boss Digital Delay DD-7s in series; one after the other. I’d imagine that, with the right wet/dry and delay times, a lot of complex repeats can be produced. But if that’s not enough, the signal heads into a Solid Gold FX Electroman for even more delay options. Lastly, the chain ends with a Strymon Flint Tremolo & Reverb to fill out all those sweeping modulations. And as a bonus, judging by that big Orange channel selector, I’m guessing the effects are being presented to the world by way of some classic British amplification.
Thanks, Steven, for letting us take a look at your board and its contents. We’re going to share a lot of boards coming up, so if you haven’t sent a picture of yours, email us at email@example.com.
